The Palestine Monetary Authority (PMA) is the central monetary authority of the State of Palestine. Established in 1994, it operates as the de facto central bank, charged with safeguarding monetary and financial stability, supervising the banking sector, and fostering sustainable economic growth.
To maintain monetary and financial stability and promote sustainable economic growth in Palestine through effective regulation, supervision, and development of the financial sector.
PMA is led by the Governor and a Board of Directors that sets strategic direction, monetary policy, and supervisory frameworks for the Palestinian financial system.
